I was born April 14th 1931 in Reading, I'm a retired divorcee living in a residential hotel for the active elderly with my cat. I went to a village school just out side Reading, worked as an auxiliary nurse looking after the elderly. Love all animals and flower gardens. I now do scrap books with cards and pictures in for charity shops for children, and recently had a poem published in The Other Side of the Mirror, by The International Society of Poets. My poems come from my heart which have very deep feelings on many things. |
LettersWhy not write a letter to some one who is sad.You will cheer their day up and make them very glad. Tell them that you love them and make them feel alive. It will prove a tonic and help them to survive. Its surprising what a letter does for their morale. Every morning I awake look forward to that mail. And when it comes it fills my day with warmth from deep with in. So get that letter written to every Kith and Kin. Then take it to the post box and you'll have done your deed, To those who's sad and lonely your letter that they need. |
The World TodayToday's world could be a lovely placefor all of us to share, but wars and situations make it hard for us to care. If only we could think about others in their need. Instead of things that we must have, and not so much of greed. This world would be a better place if we listened on our way, and shared the things we do have with some one every day. The children in those far off lands that haven't food to eat. We could help them all if we shared our daily meat. If young folk helped the weaker, and gave a helping hand. It surely would be better and make a happy land. There's lots of ways that we can help to make a better place. By being good and caring folk and help Our human race. |
