John Schwei

Carlsbad, California, USA

John was a U.S. Navy corpsman and in the medical service corps serving in wartime Air--sea rescue missions, also with the U.S. Marines. Carried many live ghosts from the volcanic sands of Iwo Jima to the decks of hallowed hospitals ships, where Doctors and Corpsman, young and not so old used healing hands to perform miracles in the light. There will not always be time to differentiate between the double shadow worlds we exist in to make choices for our needs, which will determine the unknown fatal final heartbeat grasp of which eternity of two will be your unrevocable portion.

Sweeping meadows arranged in cryptic message forms

Out of nowhere comes the call above ominous cloud storm
Fleeting waves sail across swells of sunset's amber glow
Mauve tinged skies stretched beyond space seen catched in tow
Faced with ever the dilemma to turn to just one for trust
How can a heart choose to lose the one returned to dust
There is the dream now can come true
Only in one eternity of two
Forlorn secret memory gone in time to wait
Fails disappointment the instant turned to hate
Stories transformed recall a sweet reunion
To remember love's sonnets extreme unction
Bring back soul beloved of the original
To merge its handiwork behalf life's jumble
Songs eons ago with inner themes in mind
Give happy a heart full blessed favor in kind
Once again embrace joy found
Through rapture free unbound
Fashion not a mystic illusion pristine
Grasp life's real passion, "love" for Christine

Heaven's Loft Illusions

Burning fragrant joss sticks
Stuck in a dark bark niche
Destiny can be had ad nauseam
Forbearance with all its malum
Pondering with sleight old nick
Hoping somehow for no switch
Job's comforter will interpel
A tormentor in its hell
To see miracles in the light
Life upside down in day of night
Repace the image of body
Mind now not so haughty
Shifted shadow oh so flighty
Known to trek of stars delightly
Some distant time prior Kantian
Abort aloft yore clay Pre-Cambrian
United with strength in all its thoughts
Too late remembered set not naught
Souls all malcontent breakthrough anew
Judgement cloud portends a Thanatos view

Lost Souls Found

Flickering shadows of lives gone by
Etched in darkness on stone walls so high
Arches created by carved baroque
Far afield risk eye saw the roan rook
There were then souls, sweet mother, somehow so unknown
Who had flown dimensions above, Confucius say never know
Too soon to go, sow, gone to ruin
Seraphims carry those up in rued tune
Many others exude the same shame
Existing to suffer pseudo fame
