John's first writings were compiled into an illustrated chapbook entitled "Poems for Everyone" published in 1995 with donations to the Hawaii State public library and school system. Today, John has a home based business in which he crafts hand painted gift and post cards and reproduces them with inclusions of his original poetry. He is also currently working on a new booklet, "Poems for Everyone Two." His poetry may be found in several anthologies including the National Library of Poetry. John feels that "Poetry is an inspiration of life's more refined thoughts of which all may benefit." |
Analects Of ThoughtSustenance of body and mind, nourishmentto fill unfeigned desire and to feed many folds. Knowledge to allay the appetite of the spirit and the hunger of the soul. Seeds of infinitive consciousness sown in fertile fields and harvested by gatherers to reap the bountiful yields. Tables set for inspiration and sapid wisdom to share with those who quest the reward and accept it's priceless fare. |
Antiquity AwakeningSleeping years long past, dreams revealing what was castfrom silent whispers echoing. Voices spent of mind exhausted, confined, beckoning. Endless visions perceived of wisdoms learning and waiting. Fast within the womb but restless entombed antiquity yearning to be awakened! |
FortressesCool mists of benevolenceto dampen the fires of anger and torrents to drench the rage of mayhem and madness opposing nations wage. Pastures for shepherds to tend their gentle flocks and flowers to soldiers for battles not fought. Fortresses built from clouds and weapons of straw to blow away with the slightest gust of fear and warm rays of faith to dry a world of tears |
