I began my insurance career with Rio Grande National Life in Fort Worth in 1960. I've also served the company in Dallas, Longview, Denver, and Pueblo Districts. My hobbies are collecting rocks and odd coins. It is my sin- sincere desire to serve the insurance needs of the people of this community. Recently, the lyrics of two songs have been released, "Savannah" and "Sail Back to Me." I've received four golden poets awards and several Editors Choice Awards. I graduated from Southern College Of Commerce and LUTC. An insurance representative for several years, I've earned the National Quality Award. In later years, writing poetry has become my greatest companion.

The Stars Weeping

The moon smiled looking down upon the earth,
Why are you making the stars weep?

Forever may there be peace, recreating a new birth;
While everyone is resting fast asleep.

Gangs and mad men through the streets roam at night,
Leaving men, women and children dead in defeat.

Not sparing mother and child, looks like
The people of the earth will never become reconciled

Each night the bright moon continues to shine
But the stars continue to weep.

So many lives are taken, you can hardly sleep;
Time goes on the same, the stars continue to weep.

May the gangs and mad men get justice
So the stars will never again weep.

Our Masters Garden

Of late in the early morn,
Have you had a stroll in the garden
Created by our Master above?
He so patiently painted each pedal of the flowers
With all of his love.
The Heavenly fragrance drawing the bees, butterflies
And the humming birds to,
If you have not taken a stroll, try for once
In the early morning dew.

The Lonely Beggar

He did not need shoes, as he had no feet
He smiled at each person as he sat on the corner
Down town Ft. Worth Street.
A cup in one hand and pencils in the other
He was alone in this world
As he had no sister or brother.
He sat there from early dawn
Until the sun began to fall;
Hoping someone would heed to his urgent call.
No nice warm bed or a good home cooked meal
He was trying hard for a morsel,
As his mother taught him to never steal.
At the end of the day, a few coins in his cup
Gave him courage to never give up.

Angels Playing Marbles

Heard a loud roar, bump and sound
Looked like the angels were playing marbles on the ground.
A big flash of light and another big roar;
Looked like the heavens had opened'
There were oh! there were so many more.
This went on for many hours
Thought this would never stop
To bring out springtime flower.
Stillness came and the sun began to shine
There appeared a big rainbow
The most beautiful of its kind!
