Blessed Union

Always together we shall be
Hand in hand, you and me
Sailing oceans, or gliding  the shore
To the top of the world, or to it’s core
Our love will never grow cold, but always be simmering
We will share a lifetime of memories
As our ships sail, the journey of our lives start
Never shall we travel far from the heart
And if we go in a circle, and end where we began
Then we’ll just pick up and begin again

How Can We

How can we disregard
The broken heart
How can we turn aside
Those weary eyes
And give a look of disdain
Call them hopeless and mundane
Say that they’re insane
How can we
Live the life we live
In a world so cold
A crumb of bread
To no one give
And turn our backs
On babies being sold
How can we turn away
The beggars on the street
Look at them and complain
That they’re all dead beats

Time

Time will ease your pain
But is that true
Will it take away your scars
And your bruises too
Can a wounded heart heal
And become whole again
Or does it stay in pieces
Becoming worn and thin
Time will ease your pain
That’s what they say
Time will dry your eyes
As you count the days
