Who Am I

Somewhere in a hospital, maybe just across town
a new child arrives, by the ounce and the pound-
"Who am I?" this child of the universe shall ask,
"Whether I succeed or fail, it will
be your task"-
-"I came today, just as I am, God says
I'm great, regardless of race or ethnic background"-
-"We all arrive with the same great status,"-
"but please, answer for me, Just who am I,
And what is my destiny"?
"I am this child you hold in your hands, Don't
Abuse or neglect, I can't understand"!
"Speak to me with knowledge, Invest in me your time."
"All great people were babies,
at one time"!

Diana Princess of Whales

-Diana, you have gone for a visit,
among the green hills-
Where your life began, with many
young thrills-

-You opened a dark world, with Wedding Bells,
You untangled roots that connect each country,
far from home, among strangers you were
our light, our unity
Our rose of Whales-
-You lived among storms, in places of stone
Where bells rang out, amid the dome-
-"Where the sun doth rise over the skyline ridge."
"And lovers still walk on London Bridge"-
-Diana, "Just Diana", you did never change.
Among a prince, a queen, a duke
or dame, any place, anywhere you were the same!-
-We shall hear you in Westminster Chimes
as the wind whispers of you with rhymes-
"Your touch of gentleness"
"Your shy warm glance"
"You wanted happiness, you wanted a chance"
-"You will never leave us
You will always be there"
In the rains, the clouds and sunshine of the English Air-
-Sometime in Hyde Park
or the center of the city,-
In each of these wonders
A message you send
our Diana, our candle in the wind-

Halloween

-"The black silk cat, and an old straw broom
Share the same hearth, in the fireplace room-"
Said the old silk cat, to the old straw broom
"A Halloween party we'll host quite soon"
"We'll see witches and ghosts, Jack-o-lanterns
large and small - apples for bobbing, black
spiders on the wall!"

"While the flaming fire dances merrily,
surprising costumes we shall see"-
-"We'll have treats for children, fortunes will be told,
Soon the night will be growing old"-
"I've seen many parties in this old room,
Said the old black hat to the old straw broom
"the fire it huffed and quietly
puffed and the black cat
winked at the broom, as they
snuggled together in the
fire place room-
