I am 15 almost 16 years old, and have been writing poetry for the past
couple of years. I am in high school, where I am a freshman. When I write
poetry it marks special and, sometimes, hard times in my life. For example,
the poem "When You're Gone," represents the time in my life when my very
beloved Grandmother passed away. Although a very hard time for me, I still
wrote what I felt and out came a very beautiful and heartfelt poem dedicated
to my Grandmother. For me, writing is not something that I consider a talent
but, rather, a gift to be cherished.
