I am the owner of a successful business, but still make time for my writing, it gives me an inner peace to create something meaningful. I've been inspired to write poetry that has been contributed to the Christian ministry. I have been published by The National Library and elected into The International Poetry Hall of Fame. I dedicate the honor of this accomplishment to my husband Ron, for his love and inspiration, but most of all, to God, for his gracious gift of my talent. |
The Artist and The PoetAn artist paints on canvas,A poet paints in mind, And those who search their meaning, Different answers each will find. Silent rapture of a sunset' A caressing lullaby; Or rage of storm and tempest, And mournful spirits cry. Each captures in it's fashion, A timeless work of art; With brush and pen, they both create, What might have had no start. The voice that calls, without a sound, Can summon from within; Those deepest feelings of the soul, Which may have never been. |
To My ArtistMy artist is a genius, the best you'll ever find,For he can paint a rainbow and sunbeams in my mind; I close my eyes and see his work, every shadow, every leaf, Every ripple in a tranquil pond, or crashing wave against a reef. I watch him with his brushes, a masterpiece his goal, Shimmering on canvas, the reflections of his soul; If I traveled to a gallery, with the finest works of art, None could surpass the rapture, that he paints within my heart. What Life IsIf life were like a looking glass,And the future, I could see; I could pick it up and look inside, And what it holds for me. Or if it were a charge account, The limit without end; Then it would be forever, No matter what I spend. And if it were a puzzle, Just lying in a drawer; Then I could simply take it out, And work it through once more. Wouldn't it be wonderful, If life was like a book; To know each chapter in advance, I'd only have to look. But all it is, is what it is, A mystery, a rhyme; A tragedy, a symphony, A space in borrowed time. |
