I've been writing poetry since my early twenties. I work for J.C. Landscaping
and my hobby is gardening. Some of my poetry has been published in anthologies.
My poem "A Very Special Child," that was published in "Traces of Yesterday"
by The National Library of Poetry and on their cassette tape called The
Sound of Poetry, is dedicated to all the adopted children of the world.
I want to give a special thanks to my wonderful friend and neighbor, Miss
Brenda S. Neff, to whom I dedicate all my poetry. |
DriftwoodAs I see driftwood floating on the lake. With the ripple of the wave's all around.. No certain place to go. Just floating on the wave's. Going where ever the wave's will take them. I think it would be nice. To be like a piece of driftwood. Just going down life's highway. With no certain place to go. Just wherever life's highway take's you. Unlike the driftwood We all have place's to go and things to do. So I will just set here, and take life easy for a short. To envy the driftwood. |
Weeping WillowEvery time I see a weeping willow.I can't help but ask myself. What make's him sad enough to stand there and weep. Could it be that the tree is lonely. In hope's to see another tree. Could this be why the branch's droop to the ground. In hope's no one sees him a crying.. If this tree wasn't lonely. I wonder if he would stand tall and straight. With his branch's reaching to the sky. But for this to happen. He would not be called, A weeping willow tree. |
A Very Special ChildA very special child is a child that has been adopted. You see someone takes the time to adopt a child. It doesn't matter if you're a boy or girl. What matters is if you love the people that are going to adopt you. And the people that are going to adopt you love you just as much. You see it takes a very special person. To adopt a very special child. And because you're adopted That's what makes you a very special child. |
