A seasoned financial manager, writer, volunteer and active church member are talents of Iris' (like the flower). Several poems from her collection of poetry entitled "Life Talk," are published by magazines and in two anthologies by The National Library of Poetry: "Best Poems of 1998" and "Montage of Life." She is now completing "Tribal Faire," a cookbook & "I Know Why," a children's story. Iris says, "By writing, I attempt to share my thoughts with you, my unknown friends. Perhaps stimulate your thoughts on common subjects we all think about. These poems are bridge-ways, to answers in our Life Talk." |

SUGARYou are the sweetnessOf my days and ways My true candy In my sour times My pure honey Throughout all my bitter ways, Some days, you are my brandy At the fireplace. Some nights, you are my fire Crackling on a crisp Winter’s midnight. Whichever style you do so suffice It's cause of you that taste Comes from my spice. |
