My name is Herman Gabbard age 74 born and raised by Sid Gabbard and Rose Gabbard, my father and mother. I belong to poclubs, I attended school for 12 yrs. In Oakley County Kentucky, I become interested in writing during my school years, I am a veteran of World War Two. Writing for me is a hobby. I like to express myself in writing since I can no longer work or travel. I have heart trouble that keeps me close to home and medication. I am the 4th child in a family of six. I have 4 brothers and one sister.

Malicious Gossip

The news is bad and it hurts my pride
I don't need advice I don't need a guide
I am not ashamed there's nothing to hide
Some way somehow the Lord will provide
There's lots of gossip and lies been told
I feel sorry for the sick and old
Jealousy and envy brazen and hold
Malicious gossip just shouldn't be told
I feel the sting I feel the hate
To spread this gossip some just can't wait
I am not well known so I don't rate
He who is faultless carries a clean slate
I am a citizen been put to shame,
I seek no fortune I don't need fame,
I do no wrongs why smear my name
Life is for real its no silly game.
