I
have been writing poetry since I was eight years old. I am a student at
Georgetown College. I have had my poetry published by the National Library
of Poetry in three poetry anthologies. I have also received three
Editor's Choice Awards from the National Library of Poetry, and have also
received honors from the International Society of Poets. My poetry reflects
my personal thoughts and feelings about my life's challenges and situations.
I also feel that my poetry gives my reader's insight into my own wishes
and dreams. I hope that my words help in healing the world. |
Within YouDeep within you lives,A soul that yearns to give. Within you lies the cores, Of a soul that loves to soar. Deep within your mind, The touch of Love, you'll find. Within you lives and breathes, A soul that still believes. Within your soul you'll see, All the Love you could be. Deep within your eyes, An angel patiently hides. Within you lies the Love, Your heart's been dreaming of. Within you shines the Sun, So you can find the one. Who yearns to live within, The joy behind your grin. Deep within you there's A soul who always cares Within you heart and mind, Where your true colors shine. Within you shines the star, Of who you really are. |
The ButterflyAs love falls down from the sky,It lands on the wings of a butterfly. The butterfly sings it's songs and rhymes, And flies through the air, No concept of time. It is the messenger of patience and change, From flower to flower, it's odd and it's strange. The butterfly can transform it's world. And give way to new beginnings, unfurled, It is the keeper of transformation, And flies on faith and imagination. The butterfly as no fear of change, It bravely escapes it's homemade cage. To change, it knows is necessary, For all the burdens we need not carry. The butterfly soars, and merrily sings, For, without change, it could never grow wings. |
