I obtained my M.A. in the field of literary linguistics at Ain Shams U. I love to write Free Verse philosophical poetry and am very much interested in Psycholinguistics. A lot of poetry published by The National Library of Poetry (NLP), some selected for the "Sound of Poetry". Awarded the "Editors Choice Award for Outstanding Achievement in Poetry" by NLP for 1994 and again for 1995. Nominated by the Board of Directors and Advisory Committee of The International Society of Poets as a Distinguished Member of ISP. Inducted as "International Poet of Merit for 1995" at the ISP convention and symposium in Washington, DC. "Creativity is the outcome of extremity, whether it be misery or ecstasy. Honesty is the shortest way to the heart. Believe to achieve, work to realize."

Fashion Of the Heart

With red and orange to warm,
Yellow to keep it alive and burning
And finally the white to cool and calm.

She was so eager to dress up in those
colors of the heart,
Whisper the sounds of ecstasy,
fly with the wind that holds
secret promises
With her dreams lingering
And her mind imagining
Oh! Days to come
With the wildness of the feeling.

Abortive Mind

Heavy the legacy sometimes
Why is it so?!
I really can't tell
I really don't know

Ideas before my giving them birth are aborted
when abnormal, heavy and painful to set free.
They pass in silence and never come to be.

Undeveloped, immature.
For my peace of mind and sanity, I ABORT.

Vision Of Life

Visions mingle
Hopes twinkle like stars
And the brightness of the moon is what I seek
Is it the moon, or what's behind such brightness ...
Yes; the sun is what the moon's all about
It's the sun that makes the moon appear so wonderfully bright
So mystically beautiful and above all so alive
though it's dead.

I seek light to guide me not hinder me
I seek comfort to set my mind at peace
I seek happiness, laughter and joy
Yes, I seek LIFE.

I Wonder

Every time I wonder
Every time I reach
Never satisfies me
Never relieves

The thunder in the darkness
The rain in the sky
The moon with its brightness
Makes me wonder why?

Why is it so so difficult
To make others do see
The truth that lies within us
The hopes that our hearts do seek

Is it wisdom, or glory
Is it fame, or wealth, or peace
The internal secret of the soul
That unfolds only for him
Who strives to reach.
