I have been writing poetry ever since I was about eight years old. When I was ten I got to meet very famous authors. I'm the kind of person that can't just write a poem because someone told me to. Before I write a poem I get this feeling over me. I write my poems from experience and thoughts I've had. I have one brother and one sister. There was a statement in a book I was reading and it said "Gain all you can from each day for death is not going to wait around for you to finish up". I love that statement because it speaks the truth. In this world we have one life and we should live each day to the fullest because we never know when its time for us to go. When I write poetry I feel like I'm living my life to the fullest because I'm doing what I know best.

To Every Student

In every school, to every student
there's a special teacher.
To every teacher, to every student
there's a special bond.
To every bond to every moment
There's a special time that we'll think
back and say to ourself's "That teacher
really cared!"
If you know that teacher cares
you're life will brighten up.
Cause now you know that
if you fall, that same special teacher
Will come and help you up.
