Magee, Mississippi

Birth place:  Winstonville Mississippi.  I started writing poetry about three years ago.  I am a carpenter and a mechanic, I like to invent things.  I'm a active member of the Church.  My pen name is Marcellous.  I have a collection of poems published by the National Library of Poetry, their titles are "A Poem always look toward God/ Faithfulness is the key in a relationship".  Writing poetry has helped me to look at things a little bit further than a glimpse at them, also with having deep concern about them as well.

The Struggle In Honduras

There's a place in this world
filled with little boys and girls...
They have no shoes on their feet,
and have little food to eat...
They pray to the Lord each and everyday,
for some blessings to come their way.
They live in poverty for so very long,
and many of them don't have a home.
They are people who have less than,
so please let's give whatever we can.
There are places like Honduras all around the world,
sisters and brothers let's not forget those,
little boys and girls.

Helping The U.S. Citizen:

If I was the president, I would serve the United States
a full 100 percent.
I would step out into the world, In order to communicate
with the people, trying to seek their needs.
On an occasional basis It'll be that way, yes indeed.
With looking at the communities throughout, I'll be seeking
to find out what their  lives is all about.
Always looking toward tomorrow to see what it may bring,
to stop all drugs from entering into the Country,
it will be a great thing.
Then It's time to build up families hope,
after we've cast out the guns and dope.
To open new jobs from all around, through out all the U.S.
cities and countries, even the smallest towns.
We as Americans should learn how to live and work together,
In order to make where we live, a whole lot better!!!

Wonderful Memories of a Special One

She rises in the morning like a bright shining star,
she reach for her slippers that's not to far.
She stands at her window gazing at the sky,
looking at the beautiful birds as they fly.
She has a smile that is so very sweet,
she could sweep any man off his feet.
Never once have she stopped from being so kind,
she like to extend her hand to anyone,
no she wouldn't mind.
If you ever got to know her, you have found a friend.
That she will be to you, until the very end.

A Turning Point For All Men

Why do men make war with one another,
we should be able to walk shoulder to shoulder
as real brothers.
From every State/Country/Continent and all around the earth,
we should try to give freedom and peace a brand new birth.
Although wisdom calls out for all nations to listen and pay
attention to everything,
We as men should learn to wake up, to see what it may bring.
I have hope in my heart for things to improve,
if we ask God to help us with all our troubles, from the big to the small
He will remove them all.
