Hiking in the Rockies
I went hiking in the Rockies
Where noman had ever been.
I stopped to rest awhile,
For the atmosphere was thin.
I'd been in such a hurry
To reach the very top,
I hadn't seen the beauty
Until I had to stop.
Then I saw a dainty flower
I a Rockie Mountain pass.
It's beauty far exceeded
Sun shining through stained glass.
I cast my eyes about
And saw a million flowers,
With their blooms of many colors,
Nestled quietly in the bowers.
"Solomon in all his glory;
Not arrayed like one of these,"
Giving of their sweet aroma;
Tantalizing to the bees.
As I thought upon the picture,
My mind with limits whirled.
In their way these little jewels
Add more beauty to the world.
Though they'll never be on display,
Receiving glory they deserve,
They'll bloom and die unnoticed,
For their purpose is to serve.
So it is with most of people,
Bright and lovely though they be;
Their good works and loveliness
Only few will ever see. |
No Name
Who are you?
Who am I to ask?
What are you?
What am I to ask?
Why are you?
Why am I to ask?
We live these days as if they were our last,
Constantly remaining in remembrance,
Destined to relieve the past,
I as the question, God where are You to be found?
Knowing it's my soul that you surround,
Give me definitions of what You would have me to be,
Show me purpose and true destiny,
So that I may accomplish and give glory to Thee,
As toward trials and tribulations we have so many,
And Lord we want no more,
But God show us what it is that we are so diligently fighting for,
Give sight and voice to our souls, and Your death to our remembrance,
So that we may give You glory, honor and every reverence,
Three reflections of me are You in my life,
You always there as we suffer pain, struggle, and strife,
You live as I live and You are in me,
When I walk, I walk as three,
The Father, the Son, and Holy Spirit: The Divine Trinity
