My name is Freda Lee Jackson. I was born at Rockmart, Georgia, the 26th of February 1916. My parents were Reverend Robert and Lena Ogle. My daddy was a Baptist Minister, who passed away when I was seven. I have four sisters and two brothers. We moved to Tyler, Missouri, where I met and married Frank Jackson. We were married 51 1/2 years before he passed away. We have two sons, Glen and Kenneth, four grandchildren, Christopher, Gregory, Cameron, and Emily, and one great grandson, Nathaniel. My major hobby is traveling with my sister, Muriel Goodman.

One Way Ticket To Heaven

I've got a one way ticket to heaven
On the glory train
I'm taking a trip to the promise Land
I'm never coming back again

I made my resurrection
Long long ago
So when the conductor says all aboard
I would be ready to go

I sent in for my tickets
Away ahead of time
So when the train pulled out from the station
I wouldn't be left behind

I won't take any luggage
But that will be all right
When I get to Heaven
I'll wear my robe of white

I hear that train coming
I hear her whistle blow
I've got a one way ticket to heaven
and I am ready to go

To My Loved Ones

I've served my purpose here on Earth
And Jesus called for me
I was ready for his call
So please don't weep for me

Try not to think of me in sorrow
Don't think of me as dead
I just exchanged my life on Earth
For eternal life instead

I know you'll miss me for awhile
As love ones always do
Just think of me in Heaven
I'll be waiting there for you

The Handi Work of God

As I walked along the pathway
the moon was shinning bright
As I talked with my Savior
In the garden last night

I'm so thankful that I'm living
Where it's free to worship God
And have eyes to see the beauties
of the handi work of God

He made the flowers in the gardens
So their beauties we could see
He put the snow upon the mountains
and the water in the sea

He made the hills and the valleys
He put the leaves upon the trees
He gave us the freedom to worship
To worship as we please

I'm so thankful that I'm living
Where it's free to worship God
And have eyes to see the beauties
Of the handi work of God.
