I have been writing poetry for only three years. But, by being a born-again Christian, I feel that my ability to write is through the inspiration of the Holy Spirit. I am a Dairy Manager of a local supermarket. I enjoy bowling and I am an active member of our family church. I also have a wife and three children. I have had several poems published in our church's monthly newsletter. The National Library of Poetry has published one and three more are to be published next year. I believe that writing poetry is a gift that has been given to me that God may be glorified through it. I would love any letters in reply.

My Allegiance

I pledge allegiance to my Lord
throughout eternity,
To praise His name in whatever
I do, that's the way it is to be.
To help further His Kingdom
with every chance I get,
To express my love for others
as Christ's love we never forget.
To study His word so I know
what Christ would have me do,
To fulfill His work in everything
until my life on earth is through.
These things I do pledge in
deep humility,
To live with my Lord
Throughout eternity.

Was It By Chance?

Was it by chance that the world is round,
or that we can stand on solid ground?
Was it by chance that some birds can fly,
or that others can only try?
Where would the fish swim if there were no seas,
or build our buildings if there were no trees?
If there were no snow on top of the mountains,
where would we get fresh water for our fountains?
Was it by chance that this just came to be,
or was it designed for you and me?
God had it all planned out from the start.
We just have to look around and take it to heart.
Then the answer becomes very clear, you'll see,
That all of this was meant to be.

In Search Of

In searching for an answer to a problem,
We look for someone to solve them.
We search and search and no one's there,
we keep on looking in our despair.
Where do we turn, who will help us out?
I need some answers to my questions we shout.
An answer came from the clouds above,
that's all you have to do is look to God in love.
So, if you are looking for someone to
answer your problem,
look to God and he will solve them.
