God's Day
Before us spreads the green woodland
Above is the clear blue sky;
A fallen tree makes a comfy seat
For my two good friends and I.
Music comes from the songs of birds
And the whir of an airplane's wings
While the tiny brook in it's stoney bed
Merrily sings and sings.
There is peace and quiet all around
And the colors of nature gay.
Till we feel that the hand of God Himself
Has created this restful day.

Be With Us
Hold us in your hand, Lord,
Throughout the hours of night.
Forgive us our transgressions
And lead us to the light.
We lean upon your hand, Lord,
As we journey through the day.
There's a steadiness in us
When we walk upon Your way.
Be with my love throughout the day
and keep him as he sleeps
Let him dream unconsciously
While his guardian angel weeps.
I'm sure he's dreaming about flying
High above the hills below.
He loved the freedom as he watched
The last rays of the sun's bright glow.
Although today I cannot meet
His many needs that surface.
Some day he'll walk on golden streets
And maybe even race.

Soaring On High
The planes were flying busily
As I ate lunch at the airport.
It seems to be so strange
That you're not up in the sport.
This was a perfect sunny day
To be sailing across the sky.
We used to soar through the air
And loved the freedom found on high.
I sit and look at your chair
And remember the joys we shared.
Our enjoyment was better
Because you really cared.
We flew through sun and rain
When necessity or pleasure called.
I navigated while you flew
And nothing ever stalled.
In memory I see you
With love in your eyes and a smile.
Some day I'll meet you
But it may be a little while.
