A Tribute To Maya Angelou

Who are you
by now the whole world...thinks it knows
but...I looked beyond your public stature and
Miss Angelou...I think...I Gotcha
I gotcha smile that radiates
leaving no space for anger or hate
I gotcha love that sends out rays
your love for others...that always pays
a dividend...for the receiver
steam rolling from the giver
Miss Angelou...Glad I metcha

Before You Fall

before you fall into
the trap of ignorance get knowledge
before you step into a hole of stupidity
watch your step
before you run into a brick wall
check your speed
before you refuse to help another
check the permanency of your self sufficiency
before you overload your life inspect your cargo
why run to and fro seeking peace
why get sucked into a vacuum of sin
the time is now to stop and listen
why glory in that earthly stall
heed your maker's call before you fall

There is up...there is down

you somewhere...in between
which elevator button will you push
where are going...I mean
I ask the question...
yet yours is the trip
will you fully drink in knowledge
or simply take a sip
will you plunge into the water
or merely take a dip
are your plans for a successful future
are you still in the past
yours is the question to answer
...I...simply ask

Nature The Unsung Hero

Nature...Universal Friend
Dying out...to begin again
Pure and natural...safe and sure
Man...the only curse
Man..the only cure

Self-Love

I!...I!...I! You...You...You
Maybe I should juxtapose these two
I! I! I!..you...God
Am I living backwards?
Heavens how mod!!!
