Time seems to crawl by with just me and Sheba, my canine dog, here now. I live alone on a mountain. I used to rent my home ten years ago but now I have bought it and live in it - just me and my "garbage." I get lonesome but I work in my large vegetable garden. I also write poetry. Ten years ago, I would have never dreamed that I would buy my home but my brother passed away and left me $48,929 and I bought this place for $27,500. I have seven children and I gave each one two thousand dollars. I bought some new furniture, a Frigidaire, electric range, and a cherry table with four chairs. My husband bought me a washer and dryer for Mother's Day. I like country living. I like to go to church and sing gospel songs and I like to write. I live a quiet life. I have different plans for my life. I hope to change my life for the better soon.

Untitled

The sunlight through the trees
is joying.
Quiet peace and love
in my mountain home.
So many memories, so many
dreams. the shadows on the wall
Memories of long ago.
To awake early in the morning
To live and to be free
To walk
In love and kindness - to know that
God loves me is all I ask for.
I try each day to do the best I can.
I try to please my lord and savior
I try to treat my family and friends
As I want to be treated.
I awake to the bright sun shining
the birds singing in the trees
So much love  to have and to hold
My God has all the love and peace and happiness
All I have to do is ask and He will answer my prayers
The best feeling in the world is to
lay down at night and to know that my
God is with me and if I never did awake -
He would take me on to Heaven
God has all things - he has all power
in Heaven and Earth and I love Him.
And I want to be free with my
Lord and Savior.
