Always

Fantasy flight, a dream of before
Soaring high above an exodus from lifelessness
Out of nowhere an angel takes form: it is
mercy
Closing the hole in my heart that has suffocated me.

It is amazing to me you knew my pain as your own
The stars shining in your eyes reveal: it is understanding
No thoughts ever disapproving my soul.

We flow free, no one knows our secret
No chains to bind our meaning
The root implants itself in others, not in us
We take to a breeze and never let go
Tight to eachother love interwines our hearts.

We live on, generations passed to us
The torch lights our path
never ceasing
We are reborn in eachother's eyes, as
our gaze surpasses any distance.

This is as it will be
Always.

Life's True Discovery Zones

When an infant first peers into her mother's eyes,
when she finds her feet and hands.
While playing outside, the child finds
a pill bug curled up to hide,
or on a flower, a bee lands.

When meeting a new friend,
or finding something new in an old one.
When the door of sexuality is opened
and two lovers become as one.

When walking through the woods,
a small trail appears with foot-
prints from a fawn.
When staying up all night with
a loved-one just to greet the dawn.

When finding the courage to chase
after a dream,
When following the path of a
well-established stream.
Life is never fully known,
but a lifetime of discovery zones.
