A Mother's Love

There is not words to describe a mother’s love.
It is something special that comes from above.

You feel it as a little girl when she combs your hair.
It is just something that you know is there.

You may be naughty or even get caught telling lies.
But you still see the love when you look in mother’s eyes.

Her love is something you see without even looking.
You can even taste it in her homemade cooking.

A mother’s love can be felt when she quietly slips into your room.
Or you may be reminded of it when you smell a certain perfume.

You can hear her love when she says " baby I love you."
And just by the look on her face you know that it is true.

You can feel her love when she touches your face.
For her you know you will always hold a special place.

There may be so many things in this world that you doubt.
But a mother’s love is something hard to live without.

A mother’s love is something that is just there.
For there is nothing else that you can compare.

Life Is A Struggle

For many life is a pathway of struggle and strife.
For some it is more painful than the blade of a knife.

Each day we awake to see what trials we must face,
Just to continue as part of this human race.

For some people, their days are filled with illness and pain,
For them just to live is a terrible strain.

For others, the death of a loved one has brought such grief and sorrow,
It is almost like they can't stand to face tomorrow.

Then there are those for who life seems to be exerting a gigantic force,
For they are dealing with marital difficulties and a painful divorce.

Yet others have a lesser fate of losing their job,
In which the only answer seems to be one big sob.

And even though this world may seem like struggle and pain,
Most would admit that living life has brought us tremendous gain.

Lovers Parted

Oh my darling, today is the day that we have parted.
You have left me feeling miserable and broken-hearted.

Your bright smile and caring ways are gone.
You choose to go and leave me all alone.

You know that I loved you so.
But you thought it best that you go.

By chance we sometimes meet.
But I turn my head and go on down the street.

For it is best if I pass you by.
Because I don't want you to se the tears in my eye.

I'll always remember you and the times we had.
Losing you makes me so very sad.

I hope that you will always remember me,
And cherish our forbidden love that could never be.
