Debra enjoys writing poetry but wishes to give credit to the Earth whose beauty is the heart of all inspiration. Debra also wishes to thank the Creator for all the gifts he gives to all of us everyday. If everyone in the world would be thankful for what they have been given rather than unhappy for what they do not have, the world and the people would be in harmony, peace and balance with themselves and with the Earth. Please read and enjoy my poetry. |
Care Must be KeptRespect and love must always win,in hearts and souls of Earthbound man. Caretakers we must do our part, to love the world and all its kin. If care disappears a new word is formed, and Takers becomes the end result. This will cause ruination of Mother Earth, if the word care is tragically somehow lost. |
Night of LifeLight of evening air, cuddles moonbeam happiness. Angel wings flutter light still. Crickets chirp to greet night air. Coyote howls as owl soars through skies. Full moon beams its rays to Earth. Souls of night chant happiness, as evening nature creatures start their day. While people sleep in dwellings quietly, and daytime creatures rest their eyes. the world does not stay quiet in rest, but new animals merge to kiss the night, as waters bubble through dark curves, the fish swim in their private world. Plants dwell in the evening air, changing carbon dioxide to oxygen as they breathe. The Earth is continually full of life, a precious part of nature and mankind. |
Unnecessary TearsSur-real cold fragile landscape,of tormented human emotions, Uncalled for anger sweeps the country side, like a raging cold blizzard of emptiness, Destruction and uncertainty make their mark, on the desolate face of the winter atmosphere, The ground covered by unclean waters, the air smitten with unnatural microbes, mothers' wailing from loss and pain, Earth's precious life forms desecrated, by one species that believes they are rulers. Animals suffer innocently from destruction, The Earth screams from unjust consequences. Orphaned children cry out for love and understanding, for these are the tears of all wars. May we avoid them through wise living, and work together for a peaceful planet. |
