My name is David Fox Richardson. I was born on 9-9-26 in Partick, Glasgow. I am a retired Cleansing Inspector. My wife's name is Jessie. We have been married for 46 years. I look after my wife who has been ill for some years. We have two sons, David and George, and four granddaughters, Lisa, Laura, Angela, and Tracy. I write poetry to occupy my mind. I like drawing and do pencil art, but not before all my household chores are done. I wish I would have found the opportunity to do this years ago.

The Terror Within

This fear within great fear no doubt.
What is this fear we dream about.
To live in terror day by day.
We vow to fight it all the way.

To find a cure some day we will
Defeat this terror that makes us ill
Its not so easy of this be sure.
But someday soon we'll find a cure.

So lend an ear and listen well.
To God's true words or "Go to hell."
Its up to us no doubt we know.
That God's our friend and not our foe.

This terror around us we must endure.
So! Pray and hope for peace that's pure.
Its not so easy. Of this I'll say
But one day soon we'll find a way.

Will it happen I hear a you say.
Be rest assured, God knows the way.

Alpha And Omega

He gave us joy, and sorrow too.
And all his strength to see it through.
So! Take his faith. Sent from above.
It was for us. That he died for love.

He came to earth to teach us how.
To cope with life and to endow.
Each one of us with Christian ways
Like prayer and faith with sin free days

One day he'll come. This I know.
To say to us, it's time to go.
So follow me, come, take my hand.
It's time to enter the promised land.
