Darlene has been writing as a hobby for many years. She is a Sunday School and Children's Church teacher. Her husband and three children are very proud of her accomplishments. She is a member of the International Society of Poets and has had poetry published by the National Library of Poetry. One of her many purposes through writing is to inspire, encourage, and comfort others. Darlene says, "Everything I write is authored and inspired by God. As I commit my works to Him, my thoughts are established - (Proverbs 16:3). If I think it, God will do it".

The Goodness Of God

God had been so good to me.
He sent His Son to set me free.
I know one day I'll see His face,
And thank Him for His saving grace.
He helped me strive to reach this mark.
And from His word I'll not depart.
He loves me and he loves you.
He helps us all to make it through.
The goodness of God helped me to succeed
To a place to help others, no matter the need.

Out Of Me

Like a blossom, something within me opened.
Out of me seemed to flow a running sap of living waters.
Out of the uttermost part of my being came words of life,
Out came something unspeakable, better written than spoken,
Only God in His infinite wisdom could have created it
For out of the depths of my very soul and spirit
Came my most deepest, most intimate expressions
Beneath a holding place of attainable dreams and visions
Was an untapped reservoir of endless possibilities.
From a repository of unlimited talents and abilities,
My potential was now being excavated and unleashed
From deep within, my purpose was being disclosed
I yearned for something from God, something out of me,
Something of my own to inspire, to encourage, to uplift, and
To illuminate even the darkest places in the lives of others
God promised if I could think it, I could have it
And in His own time, out of His heart to mine,
He planted, He watered, and He cultivated my gift
Like rose petals unfolding, He caused it to blossom
I blossomed and out of me came... Me

Complete Success

See yourself through the eyes of God
United, being one with His Spirit
Communing with, comforted by His presence
Completed by His hand, formed in His image
Existing only to please your maker and creator
Sold out and bought at the highest price
Set apart as a servant anointed, appointed, and sent

On an awesome journey no man can alter
Never compromising nor contradicting your mission
Lifeline for many; a living epistle read by men
You, why? Because God called you to be

Willing and obedient in and through all things
Interrupted not by the affairs of this life
Taught by His Spirit to teach others
Holding fast to every precious promise of God.

Good things never to be withheld from you
One whose every need is supplied and provided
Delivered and set free as you become a doer of His word

Achieving complete success only with God.
