The Poor & Just

In his truth and for his truth
a just man will be blamed, a
poor man shall be slain, for
it has not changed -- a poor
man will be blamed, a just man
shall be slain.
His flesh shall lie undercover
beneath the face of an undiscovered grave. yet the sun shines anew
light unto his eyes he sees
another day --
Where is beyond this place
Beyond the scripture of his heart
its cover...the testimony of
His soul its face -- the lace of
eternity beyond this?
A place where God is touching
him when he sleeps and when he weeps.
Where is beyond this place
the lace of eternity, beyond this place?

Valentine

Within my well of memories
A flower has sprung,
It has begun to grow;
A flower to call a friend,
A friend as sweet as a rose.
Who wouldn't give a Valentine
gives the Valentine Rose,
To a Rose, to a rose.

Vietnam

The young man's youth
fought the war for you
The soldier's young dreams
fought the war for me
Who ever know that he was
he was who America grew
Who'd ever guess he would be
America' best, but he
Took his own life, and
he had the right
By his own hand the man
took a stand, and
Fro his own hand, the man
took my stand, when he
Fought the war for you
he fought the war for me
And I sing for thee
they fought the war for me.
