Dahni has written poetry since the 6th grade. He wrote a poem about
the Arabian Nights and then illustrated the work. This was published in
a local newspaper. Since then, his passion for art, music, poetry, and
writing have led to the formation of Deep Waters Productions. Dahni was
nominated as poet of the Year for 1997, received three Editors’ Choice
Awards, and is a distinguished member of The International Society of Poets.
He has just completed his 6th collection of poetry and has been published
by many newspapers, magazines, and anthologies throughout the country.
The president of the United States and the governor of Arkansas have enjoyed
his poetry. He loves to encourage poetry and poets. He frequently stops
in at the poet chat hosted by this site. "Imagination is the food of poets,
good words and good images to be served to the world." |
ColorI come for the lifeI see it in my heart White of my eyes I am black from sun crossing deserts in life my skin from earth and family my passion is to touch and to be touched Black upon me ignorance from afar pain and fear in the faces of others they fervently white and burn I blackened and burn all of us blood red here to just join hands and embrace each other in this life Hello! |
New ArrivalI am old as time and young asthis moment quickly passing on! I am the cry of the wolf and the coo of the morning dove. I am ocean's roar and creeks singing from the rocks of challenge. I am breath and wind and promise bright of hope in the rainbow and the wonder in the face of the child. I am passion and works and images. I am love and home and dreams which soar on eagle wings. I am the poem bursting to be born. I am poetry a gift - given to the world |
