Striving To Seize
The artist that tries to capture the scene.
The brilliant sunrise to the roll of the sea.
The poet that tries to master the art,
of writing the words locked deep in the heart.
Both trying to express what God has created.
Trying in vain sometimes feeling frustrated.
To find the key that will unlock the door,
and release the creativity that once flowed before.
For it is a gift to pass to each generation.
For someone to experience their creation.
To share in their pictures and feel their thoughts.
To touch someone's soul and live in their heart.
For we are on this earth such a short period of time.
Someone else will write a better rhyme,
yet another will create a better masterpice.
Forever striving to seize God's beauty for eternity.

Expressions From Dawna
Nothing stops the hurt and pain,
when our loved one goes away.
Even though they suffer no more,
as they pass through those eternal doors.
Still we need to express all our sorrow.
Because, for them there is no tomorrow.
To remember all the love and joy they shared with us.
As they enter a better place, with GOD we trust!
They gave us something, no one else can give.
A part of themselves;
that will always live on through the rest of our lives.
A piece of themselves, their love and their pride.
Now it's time to let them pass on.
To pick up our lives, for us to carry on.
Now they live in our heart and in our minds,
and their memory won't be so painful if given time.
We knew that someday they would be gone.
Yet in us their memory lives on.
They leave their memories with us in hopes;
that we will find our peace.
As they end their suffering, as they enter eternity.

Ashley Rose
Autumn was the time of year.
She arrived to bring me cheer.
Her little hand was holding mine.
Loving her more with each tick of time.
Eyes as big and as black as night.
Your dimpled smile as bright as light.
Recapturing moments of two years gone by.
Observing your growth, locking it into mind.
Since having you I have known love better.
Each hug, each kiss couldn't come from a
better sender, my daughter ASHLEY ROSE.
