My name is Charlotte Jean Taylor. I live in Cleveland, TN. I've lived here all of my life. I'm 38 years old, I have 2 teenage boys, Michael, age 13, and, Brian, age 17. I graduated in 1978 at Bradley Central High School. My parents are Joe and Jessie Taylor who live in Calhoun, TN. I have 2 brothers Donnie and Bobby, 1 sister Brenda. I have written poems for a long time. I have written poems for a long time, I lost my first ones. So again I started writing in 1992, I have published 2 poems with the National Library of Poetry, one in the Lee College newsletter. On Valentine's Day of this year, 1997, I published one in the Cleveland Daily Banner, I love writing them. Hope maybe someday to publish my own book of poetry. My poems are from the heart, but I wish to thank everyone for encouraging me. And thanks also to the National Library of Poetry for giving me a chance to publishing them. And thanks to my Lord above for giving me this gift and helping me along the way.

A Beautiful Day

The sky is clear
With clouds of white
Its hard to express all the delight
A light breeze a blowing
Happy faces all a glowing
Just to see a day like this
A day of work they care not to miss
With all windows down
Riding through a quiet little town
The birds are all singing
With sweet sounds they are bringing
Nothing else is in sight
But the sun that's shining so bright
This is what makes a glorious day
And outside is where you will want to stay
If someday you should want to stray
Take a ride and listen just listen
To what the day has to say
Of what a beautiful day.

Can You See ?

Can you see all the twinkles in the eyes?
Can you see beyond all deceit and all the lies?
Can you see the love and feeling that we share?
Can you see that its you in which I do care?

Can you see all the clouds way up high?
Can you see that they have covered the sky?
Can you see just how fast they can move?
Can you see how much they soothe?

Can you see when they go from white to gray?
Can you see it will be a very dark day?
Can you see our hearts are like this?
Can you see it or is it a miss?

Can you see beyond all doubt?
Can you see what its all about?
Can you see the myths and fears?
Can you see past all the tears?

Can you see it?

The Wedding Poem

Its the most important day for a couple forever
They forget their vows "No Not Never"
The bride in her dress and veil on her face
Down the long isle her footsteps will she trace
To be my the side of the one she holds dear
She looks at him with a heart full of cheer.
He looks at her with lots of delight
The stars nor moon could not be so bright
After to each the vows have been said
Not a moment of this life will they ever dread
As they placed the rings together
They know their love if forever
The crowd now meets them as husband and wife
And they'll go from the church to start a new life.
