Cesidio Tallini

S. Floral Park, New York

Cesidio started writing poetry at 15; by the age of 22 he was writing poetry in both English and Italian! He's a Data Conversion Operator for the United States Postal Service, and a Freelance Translator for "The Italic Way." His writings have appeared in America Oggi, and he was also interviewed by the Queens Chronicle for his work with the Summer Youth Employment Program. For the future Cesidio plans on finding and outlet for his Italian poetry, plans on mastering Russian, on travelling the world, and on authoring his first book.

The King Of Manhattan

I saw Him, you see;
It was Jesus of Nazareth,
And American He shall be.
He was the child of poor,
And poor no more,
And the New York media
Went bonkers,
Like children in
A candy store.
Nobody knew who He was,
Who He was indeed,
Yet no one stood sadden,
At the sight of
The King of Manhattan!
