The Autumn of Life

Leaves of gold in autumn fire
Orange, reds cascade desire
to run and jump and cover with glee
the little child inside of me.

The mounds and mounds colorful shape
so light and free in autumn's wake
Summer's end brings harvest near.
What an incredible - good and happy year-
Bring on the leaves, the autumn shapes!
excitement looms in summer's wake
The sun cascades, the colors glow
Leaves' final hurrah, they just let go!

As leaves of color fill the air
we're free again with nary a care
let go -let God. let life be Free.
As Jesus said, Children come to Me

The tree of life is God Divine
the leaves of gold His children fine
As children age, they just let go
With Beautiful color to Heaven they go.

The Garden

In the Garden of Heaven where peacefulness grows
of all types of flowers, I choose the rose
Its brilliance unfurls from the beauty within
God's grace makes it bloom, masterpiece of heaven

The smell of the rose can compare to God's grace
clean and pure in its form, like the smile on the face
of one of God's children, who are blooming with love
from the sunshine exploding from heaven above

Many flowers adorn heaven's bouquet
God gave us the flowers, brought us beauty this day
we will grow like His Flowers in heavenly grace
Smell quite as sweetly, when his will we will Embrace

Soldier for God

A special servant sent by God
upon this Earth, a path to Trod
the way was steep, the cross was worn
from many miles, so battle-torn

He was tired of fighting - in despair
yet God heard his desperate prayer
He carried him on angel's wings
to heaven's gates to be with him

He gazed on high and in his midst
the angels lifted wings so swift
and carried him so tired and torn
to heaven's gates to heal his form

In tender love, did God embrace
this man with tears upon his face
said, son, I chose you for this path
knew I could trust you in the wrath

of earth's great trials, many fall
yet you, you stand against the wall
I am by your side, I'm holding you
I won't let go, so hold me too!
