My

We are one another's reflection.
The me inside me can see
the you inside you.
And, I like that.
We bring out the best in each other.
The me inside me can trust
the you inside you.
And, I want that.
We overlook the flaws in our lives.
The me inside me can accept
the you inside you.
And, I need that.
Indeed, you are my reflection.
My very own mirror of life.
You are my genuine friend.
And , I love that.

Initials

The old painting in black and white
mesmerized a young girl that night.
She reached out to touch the glass
and began to fantasize about the past.
A beautiful girl pressed against a tree
embraced the trunk as she did see
his initials and hers so proudly displayed
within a heart precisely carved and made.
Her own true love forever to await
while the silver moon shined within her gate.
Will he come to kiss her this very night
and gently tell her everything is all right?
The old painting in black and white
mystified me that very night.
I reached out to touch the glass
and finally fulfilled my dream at last.

The Eyes of Love

We will love each other
through out eyes.
for our eyes are the
penetrating
passage
to the source of life, itself.
I see my reflection in your eyes
as
you see your reflection in my eyes.
We do not need the
shallow
show
of physical affection.
Does not our love go
much deeper than that?
We will love each other
through our eyes.
For we are as one.
