I was raised in Center, AL, by my parents, Ben and Edna Steed. I later moved to Dalton, GA and with husband, David, have worked and raised three children (Casandra, Christy, and Scott). I am a Certified Professional Secretary employed by Beaulieu of America in the Coronet Credit Department. I love to sing in Cedar Valley Cathedral of Praise church choir. My future collection of poems will be, "POEMS WITH A MESSAGE." In the world in which we live today, we need words of encouragement, peace, and love to get through each day. My poems are meant for that purpose. |
One AccordBrothers and sisters in Christ today, should never stray from the Christian way. Away from God we cannot afford, so we should live in one accord. We must serve our Lord with peace and love, if we'll ever meet Him and live above. As the journey on earth will soon be done, our hearts and minds must be as one. In the life we are living, let Jesus be Lord, all of God's children live in one accord. |
J E S U SA virgin birth, as a baby born,God's only son Jesus, born Christmas morn. Fulfilling prophesy that prophets told. Miracle of miracles as His life unfold. Wonderful Counselor, His will we must seek. Guiding mankind from the rich to the meek. Mighty God He is known to all to be. Everlasting Father throughout eternity. King of Kings, He is greater than all. No kingdom greater has man ever saw. Lord of Lords, He deserves our praise. As He cares for you all of your days. As Immanuel, God with us He'll be. The Prince of Peace from strife to set free. No matter the name that He may be to you. Remember He loves you, no matter what you do. |
Heavenly DreamPearl gates swing open wide.Saints rejoicing all inside. Streets made of purest gold. Only beauty to behold. Jasper walls all around. Only love can be found The greatest of all to see. The One who died to set me free. I see a wonderful glorious light. Shining and radiant and so bright. I hear beautiful praise and singing. Heavenly joybells are all ringing. No one is hurting, no one in pain. No one is crippled, no need of a cane. No sickness or death anywhere. No more grief, no more fear. I see Jesus reaching out for me. But, oh wait, this just can't be. It was only a Heavenly dream. But oh so real this dream did seem. A dream it may be today. But Heaven is only one breath away. Knowing the beauty that awaits me. Forever in Heaven I want to be. |
