I started writing poetry in my early teens. I started this hobby because I was never really good at sports. I am currently attending college to become a Physical Therapy Assistant. I am an active church member and I also love to sing. In fact I have put the poem My Lord to music. I have had two of my poems published in nationwide books. Our Love and My Lord. I pan to continue writing poetry because it gives me joy and pleasure to give something back of the Lord. Philosophical statement: "God gives each and every one of us a special gift. It is up to us to look in our hearts and find it."

My Lord

My Lord gave his life,
He hung on a tree.
He washing away my sins.
He set me free.

He gave me a second chance,
A chance to serve his name.
Once he entered my heart
My life was never the same.

I love him today.
I'll love him tomorrow.
He eased all my pain,
He released me from my sorrow.

I don't know what I would do
Without the Lord in my Life.
To erase all the misery.
To take away my strife.

As I said before.
He means everything to me.
I'll love him and serve him
Until the end of eternity.

Heaven

Where do you suppose
Heaven lies?
Where everyone goes
When he or she dies.

In my mind,
Heaven's high above.
So sweet and gentle.
Like a little dove.

When I was young
I did not understand
Why people would go
To this Holy land.

But now I have grown
And learned the ways.
It's a place of joy.
Happiness, and praise.

Some day I'll journey
To this glorious place.
And finally see
My Savior's face.

Heartache

Gentle kisses
Whispering tears.
Listen closely
To what the heart hears.
All the joys.
Worries, and fears.
Panic sets in
As the end nears.
Never so much agony
Displayed throughout the years.
