Saturday's Warriors

Born of His noble birthright
Youth of destiny
The hope of generations
Preserved progeny.
To you the torch is given-
Sacred, divine light.
You are His modern warriors
Armed with valiant might.
The flag is raised, the battle starts.
Satan is prepared.
To lead astray each child of God
No attempt is prepared
But as you stand for righteousness,
And hold on to the rod,
The world will learn through your witness
About our Lord and God.
You have the key to open wide
Blessings from above.
Go forth with purpose, love and faith
As you share His love.

God's Love

He places a rainbow in brightening skies
After storms ravage and rage through the night
And during dark times when we falter and fear,
Comforting arms guide us into the light.
Reflections of His love, eternal and pure-
That bring sustenance and comforting care,
Are found in earth's harvest, a hearth safe and warm,
And joy and happiness beyond compare.
Of all of the blessings deemed precious and best
For each Heaven-sent son and daughter,
Is the nurturing love entrusted by Him.
In sacred roles to our Mother and Father.
When shadowed night obscures our eternal view
And our grasp falters with the iron rod,
Watching on sidelines-our parents kneel in prayer,
And then walk with us back home to God.

A Tribute To A Parent

Death, thou art my friend, not foe--you've set this mortal free.
For trials and tribulations now no longer challenge me.
Yet, great have been the blessings of life here on the earth.
God's loving care I have known from the moments of my birth.
He beckons "Come, follow me", I have no thought of fear.
I answer now, "I'm ready Lord", as I feel Him near.
And now I find I'm ready to leave mortality,
And live in heaven's realm above--for all eternity.
