BeautyChildren are like flowersEach different And perfect in their own way. How to decide Which is more beautiful-- The champion rose Lips pursed awaiting its debut Or gangly daisy Arms outstretched toward the sun Each have their unique charm. Do not compare Flowers or children But treasure each For what it is A miracle of God. |
ScribblingsMore than a sentence,Less than a story: A child’s hug, A stranger’s glance, A wordless squeeze of my hand, Whispered endearments In the belly of night More than a stanza, Less than a song These scribblings In the margins of my life. |
