I have been a serious writer of poetry since 1995. I am currently employed by my husband, Scott, as a homemaker. When I'm not reading novels, writing poetry, or actively embracing my homemaker duties, I play with my three animals: Penny (a toy poodle), Sam (a Cockatiel bird), and Patrick (a hamster). I also enjoy going for a walk in the country. My poems have been published by The National Library of Poetry in their anthologies and on audio tape. I am very honored to be a member of The International Society of Poets and to be a part of The International Poetry Hall of Fame.

Pink Ribbon

I am a woman dressed in softness
Painted with degradation that is called beautiful
Never has such been visible to the first
Or touched by the hand of cupidity

Let this woman kneel before you
With softness to be admired
paint to be stoned
And a pink ribbon as a gift t master.

Promise Me

Give me the world and I'll take it
Send me to the Garden of Eden
And I'll rejoice and savor every moment
Take me to heaven and show me paradise
So I can wade in the pool of life
But promise me one thing, never leave me
I would give all this up for you, my lord
Just to feel your lips touch mine
In a spell bonding kiss.
