I have been writing poetry for most of fifteen years. I am a retired nurse. I am also an active church member. My other hobby is visiting many nursing homes and giving big hugs and teddy bears to each resident. I have two grown sons, whom I enjoy very much. My poetry has been published by The National Library of Poetry. Also, it has been published in our local newspapers. My motto for writing poetry is "rhyme with reason." Achievements are: Editors Choice Award, also Certificate of Poetic Achievements. A lifetime member of The International Society of Poets. 

Teddy Bear Therapy 

A Teddy Bear has come to the rescue,
To see a child respond is a gift of great revenue.

Let's put it all together and yield to their dreams,
Teddy Bear Therapy will make all faces beam.

Don't forget the elderly in nursing home care,
a Teddy Bear will travel anywhere.

Why not give someone a Teddy Bear today,
Is a rewarding gesture come what may.

A New Years Wish 

From family to friends, our love
Will help keep all flags unfurled.

Gazing at the stars this New Years Eve
Will strengthen our love and friendship
What more could we achieve.

Freedom and peace is on the agenda
That love and togetherness will be with us, forever.

Sweet Memories of Grammy 

Looking through photo albums brought back tears,
of remembering the fun and sadness through those years.

It's now memories of our favorite Gram,
Her sweetness and caring was like strawberry jam.

Treasured love goes out to her forever,
Gram, you will always be tops on our agenda.
