Rose

Oh Rose! You were so beautiful, you sparkled with freshness
When among others I have chosen you,
With your pink soft petals full of glamour
Spreading around the aroma of your sweet perfume
You stirred in me excitement, as you charmed everyone
Who ever glanced at you.  Each time of the day
Feeling your nearness, you awakened in me desire
To love and possess, my senses climbed up to the highest peak
Just knowing you were here to decorate my world,
Life has it's purpose, it was very sweet.
With time you began losing it's vibrant color,
Slowly the inside of you began to decay,
Your firm petals started to wild, you became frail.
Your color is fading, you lost it's intoxicating perfume,
Your sparkling freshness vanished,
My mind is preoccupied with losing you soon.
I glance at you with me tearful eyes
Walk out of the room leaving you alone,
My head throbbing, my heart aches,
Missing your liveliness which eternally is gone.
