Love Across The Miles

Love does exist across our land,
From one coast to the other.
Children move to a different place,
Adult life to discover.
To greet life as intended, the family as one,
Flying across the country to a place they still call home.
Love of brother and sister,
Trust of husband and wife,
Family and friends together,
Loving each other for life,
Unhappiness may come between them,
Jealousy or strife,
When sickness or death befalls them,
The love is there for life.

Quality Vs. Quantity

The quality of life does change with time,
Born healthy in body and clear of mind,
Stages of life each of us share,
Differ in quality, not to compare,
When young our lives are happy and free,
Living in peace and harmony,
We cleave to our parents as children,
Branching out to neighbors and friends,
As youths our lives are challenged,
Remembering each road has a bend,
Our choice of career, not always the best,
Gives us a challenge, a query, a test,
Cherish the moment while you may,
The past is only yesterday.
The future holds secrets unknown,
Germinated seeds are not full grown,
You only reap what you have sewn,
It's a good day!!! We woke up this morn.

Sharing and Caring

Many thanks go out for your empathy,
By putting yourselves in our place,
People will help, but must be asked,
We do not expect sympathy,
Special people instinctively know,
The needs of us in distress,
Pity breeds negative thinking,
Positive thoughts are best.
We need support of family and friends,
For someday you may be as I,
So share and care as best you can,
If you cannot we understand,
You've touched my life with tenderness,
God sent you, so thee I bless.
While walking down life's pathway,
Do as the volunteers do,
Give a little time,
A small piece of you.
