I hope my poetry reflects the need to enjoy the simple things in life. What's most important can be found right in our hearts. The love of a loved one. The love for our children. The beauty of a sunset. They exist within us. The deep cool breath on a December morning, the hug of a child, or the glow of the sunset on an autumn night. They remind us that we are alive. This is my inspiration. It's my hope that these feelings can touch everyone. To find your happiness, don't look outside you. Look inside.

My Little Girl

A little girl in a field of green
slowly she reaches down for something unseen
a smile grows on her face
as she rises she looks off into space
lifting her hand to her nose
I see she is holding a wild rose
with a look of wonder and glee
she comes running over to me
with a jump she lands in my arms
feeling safe and free from harm
she looks in my eyes as if to say
daddy I'm so happy, what a beautiful day.

Beauty Nite

There is a beautiful sky tonight
it should fill my heart with delight
but there is to much troubling me
for my heart to be so free
this is time to be alone
it's time for my mind to atone
a love that was once so clear
has slipped away and disappeared
Storms Wrath
(except from Storm's Wrath)

I look to the east
where I spy the wild beast
it's muscles rippling and twisting
changing it's form
dressing in colors of gray and black
casting shadows of darkness
where light is lack
I wait only for it's wrath to be released
slowly it passes south by east
easing not my mind from this terrible beast
for as he passes, his power withheld
here comes another straight from hell
