Somewhere

There's got to be a land somewhere
Where only happiness prevails
Someplace far from planet Earth
Perhaps in outer space
Where other stars shine bright
And there's no such thing as night.
There's got to be some secret spot
Unknown to science
With no pollution, wars, or pain
I fancy someday I'll be there
far away from worldly cares
And if such a place exists
Let me soon be on my way
And from this troubled world of mine
Just float away!

The Nature Of Things

Whether things are rosy
or things are sad
All we can do is live
one day at a time
It's often been said
that the grass is greener
on the other side
But what of the fellow
over there.
Does he feel any better?
I often sympathize
with friends
Who have lost a loved one
or who are sick.
Sharing each other's feelings
is only showing respect.
We're not called human
beings for nothing.
We're set apart from beast
We know that love is
part of us
From cradle to the grave.
So live your life
as best you can
Share feelings with
your fellow man
And strive to enjoy
"One day at a time".

The Wanderer

Lonesome wanderer
Walking the path of life
Looking toward where
The green grass grows
Searching for Paradise
I dream of a world
Where no wars occur
A world unpolluted
And where there is no hate
A world that is peaceful
With respect for all creeds
A place to raise children
And care for their needs
A planet where love
Can fill every wish
Dispelling all
Envy and greed.
I'm just a
Lonesome wanderer
Walking the path of life
Asking God's blessings
For each human life.
