My name is Anwara Khatun. I was born in Bangladesh on Feb.9,1946. I was married in Bangladesh in 1965. I wrote all kinds of things: stories for adults and children, songs and of course poems. I wrote a novel also. My poems were published on newspapers and they were heard on the radio. My stories were as well. I just love writing poems because I get to express my feelings on the beautiful things in life.

Bird There's a bird in my heart. I don't know what she's singing? But still my heart is ringing. When the bird is very quiet, I try to listen to what she's saying. She doesn't understand that, Her song makes me glowing. She has no hunger, She just wants to sing a little longer. I don't know when she'll escape from my cage. She doesn't know her very old age. Oh! bird what beautiful voice! I love how you make that noise! But still I don't understand, Why is my heart your land?
