It's Not Me

Is it a thoughtless wonder?
Like a train of thunder.
Is it a burden brought out?
That's been hidden and dusted off.
Is it a holy cross on Sabbath day?
When it's sin instead of heaven you pray.
It's not me that's wanting you,
no lie I tell the truth.
Is it the lost soul that you search of?
When you feel a need to be loved.
Well it's not me, no no it's not me wanting you.
No lie I tell you the truth.
It's not me caught up in your web,
as you try to take my soul to bed.
It's never going to be me waiting in the dark.
So try and find another victim's heart.

Dance

The dance, the long lasting look,
opens the pages in this book.
Indulges me deeper in your arms,
I'm spell bound by your charms.
As I glance into your eyes,
I start to realize.
I've longed for this moment,
as long as I can remember.
I will take all you give with no regret,
and cherish your love forever.
Closer you hold me I begin to melt,
all my body comes alive that I have felt.
A little bit of sweet romance,
closer together as we dance.
Echoings through my heart, you have turned loose,
emotions come spilling out as you hold me close.
Long lasting this moment at last,
as I shatter in your arms like fragile glass.
How true it is for you and I, to have one last chance,
for one precious lasting dance.

Enlighten Me

Touch me with a fiery passion burning out of control.
Lay down beside me as if two are the river that flows.
Kiss me with the taste of nectar on our tongues.
Love me like a field in the afternoon sun.
Hold me as a childhood nursery rhyme.
Hear me as my heart beats softly in time.
Help me heal the pain and sorrow suffered before.
Take me to the island of your destination ever more.
Leave me in the arms of your gentleness.
Teach me to accept this heavenly bliss.
Read me a love so kind and true.
Let me fall asleep next to you.
