If music is lauded as the language of heaven, then poetry is the language of the soul. So states Ann, former Catholic School teacher and business woman, now retired and involved in volunteer work. Poetry is her cherished avocation, for she feels that more than any other medium, poetry can aspire to the greatest beauty of humanity or glimpse the nakedness of the soul, otherwise hidden from view. Some of her poems have been published locally. Anne says: "Poetry, to me, is an exalted art reflecting the ever existing interrelationship with a loving God and one another."

TRIBUTE TO A SON

God blessed me with a little boy to love,
His being is the happiness of my life;
The loving memories of his childhood ways,
Are ever vibrant in my heart each day.
How blessed I felt to watch him grow,
From tender childhood to young adult,
And as he grew in stature and in years,
I marveled at the beauty of his growth,
Warm and compassionate, giving of himself,
As a family man and what's more to behold
In his work, bringing therapy to young and old,
Sharing with others his love and zest for life;
While I, his mother, pray for his future bright,
Still for my little boy- the JOY OF MY LIFE!

REFLECTIONS

There is GOD -
His presence is everywhere.

There is LIFE -
All humanity and nature so fair.

There is LOVE -
Blessed friendship to share.

THESE ARE THE ESSENCE OF OUR BEING

LOVE IS ALL

God gave us life, a special gift,
For us to share in love,
By living thus together,
We share with God above.

Let us cast aside our differences,
So little do they mean,
To God above in heaven,
'Tis trivia He deems!

Yes, life can have no meaning,
In achievements - great or small,
Till each has passed the utmost test,
Confirming love is all!

Yes, life is a special gift,
Heed God's loving call-
To love one another,
Knowing love is all!
