My name is Alma Delores Epps Dargan. I was born in a small town in Prince Edward County, VA on January 17, 1934. I am the seventh child of ten children. I have seven daughters myself. We are a poor and large loving family. I have a high school education. I also returned to A.C.T. Computer School in 1993. I attained a diploma in Home Health Care. I have Awards of Appreciation for volunteering my services. My occupation is as a Home Health Aid and I also provide senior companionship. I love people. I love working with children but prefer working with seniors.  I have been writing poetry since I was eight years old. I am capable of writing various "types" of poetry, but prefer writing spiritual poetry. I am a Born-Again Christian and it is my desire to use my gift to help my fellow man. I also like writing incredible, encouraging and patriotic poetry.

Walking with the King

My burdens are lighter, my days are brighter...
and my views, about life have changed.
I have nor dread of anything; since I have been
walking with the KING.
My mind is clearer, my love grows dearer...
as I read His word' each day.
Don't nothing seem to be the same in my life:
since I'm letting Him' lead my way.

I'm enduring all that life in this world has to
offer; that before my heart feared..." Trials,
tribulations, woes, laughter, joys,...
And happiness, that sometimes flows in tears.

The burdens, I tried to bear alone: has become
my submission... as others- their problems-
I now can correlate- in a prominent reality.
It's my joy, to know, I'm pleasing His SOVERNITY.
I wouldn't for all the wealth- " My NEW LIFE'
change: For- there is nothing like...
WALKING WITH THE KING!"

Satan's Tribues

When you do your fellow man wrong
when his life's possessions, from him' you steal
or to him, lies;

When your neighbor falsely accuse and, His
child's innocent's, you mis-use, or take
his spouse, within your house

All these things- God's forbids- and the love
of christ, you sacrifice...
For lust, temptation, and destitute, that is
Satan's tributes".

Oh! How Ascertain- Oh! How true!
When God you do not learn or know about;
And Jesus Virgin's birth into this world- you doubts"
When your fellow man, you hates enough to kill:
Is just as though you are nailing to the cross-
Jesus' still... which is satin's will.

Jesus paid a price for our sins; and only ask of us-
to be righteous"... That's all he wants of you!
Then his blessings, withing your life; he will bestow:
As time progresses onward.

Destrucitons and tribulations, woes and abuse,
Will be your life's retributions; as the results, of'
"Satan's Tributes".

The Lord Is My Shepherd

The Lord is my Shepherd:  His word is a comfort to my soul.
and to my spirit, it imputes peace and rest.

My heart and mind_ He guides with care; and lifts my spirit
from despairs.
When I am betrayed and persecuted, and desires to retaliate...
Remembrance, of his holy word, adduce my spirit to reconciliate.
For God is righteous and loving' in His' commitments,
and commands us to forgive.

When distressed or burdened with tears, he is there to aid
me and my sighs, he hears.
My daily needs he prepares; and my trials and tribulations,
willingly, he shares.

As I travel far and near: Malice, dangers, an rivalry,
I do not fear: because I know my God' is real.

Jesus says, "I will never leave you alone"...
So, In him I put my trust and faith- and feels secure from harm.

The Lord is my Shepherd- My soul He keeps" from all life's
overwhelming defeats...
He guides me, provides for me, because he loves me so...
He teaches me and protects me, from Satan' snares and woes...
That in my life occurs... " I am blessed and happy!
For I know'..."The Lord is my Shepherd".
