Harrisburg, Arkansas

I relax when I am writing. Coming from a large family, I like quiet time. Thats when I do most of my writing. With nineteen grandchildren and two great grandchildren quiet time is rare in my life. My God has blessed me with a wonderful family. Many good friends and good country. Born in Chicago, raised in the Indiana farm country. I have won many awards in 4-H. I have been published by The National Library of Poetry and The Sound of Poetry.

Grandma Loved Jesus

She labored hard for fifty years.
Not missing a single day.
She serviced her God with love.
Now she's a flower in God's bouquet.

The pain is gone from her body now.
No tears run down her cheeks.
For her smile is lighting up heaven.
While all the angels weep.

She laid upon her bed.
Arms folded across her chest.
With a smile upon her face.
She knew Jesus would bring her rest.

Grandma loved Jesus
She was picked to be a flower in
God's bouquet.
Grandma loved Jesus and holy is His name.

Walk With Me

Walk with me father in the early morn.
Walk with me father when the sun goes down.
Walk with me along the sandy beach.
Walk with me when your love I seek.
Walk with me father each day of the year.
Walk with me father and I do not fear.

Slow down World

Slow down world your moving much to fast.
I'm not ready to give up yesterday,
But it has already passed.
I can't put off the things,
I need to do until tomorrow.
So I guess I better get them done today.
Because the world is moving much to fast.
It'll soon be yesterday.

Love

Love is not a child's toy,
To be torn and broken by girl or boy.
But is to be held close, like a new born babe.
And cared by both from day to day.
As the years go by your heart has aged.
But has kept your love through trying days.

Lazy River

Lazy river if you could talk,
And tell me what my lover thought.
As he stood on the hill looking into your
depth of blue.
Where only you, yes only you
Could comfort his sad eyes of blue
As he stood on the hill,
looking into your depths of blue.
