Alice Vedral Rivera

Cicero, Illinois, USA

Alice Vedral-Rivera is a very creative writer. Her poetry comes from within and reflects much of her personal life. As she writes, she empties the chambers of her heart and soul. Her writing spans from her past through her present and the style of her writing ranges from free verse to structured. She writes in English, Czech and Spanish. Currently, she is working on a collection of her poems which she hopes to publish in the near future.

Void

Standing in the shadow of the moon,
Without a heart, without a soul,
There is no illusion,
There is no dream,
There is no hope,
Darkness before my eyes,
Shattered pieces beneath my feet.

You Knew Me Not

My soul cried
Clear drops
Falling
You heard me not
My heart bled
Red drops
Dripping
You saw me not
As you read
I wept
I bled
You felt me not
The paper
Was wet
With the
Clear and the red
But you felt
Me not
For just
The words were read

Overwhelming Intensity

Overwhelming intensity floods my senses
Takes me to the edges of oblivion
Where do I end and you begin?
Overwhelming intensity fuses our senses
Makes us crazy with passion - with pleasure sublime
Overwhelming intensity floods my mind
Obliterates all thought into nothingness
What strange power do you possess?
Overwhelming intensity fuses our minds
Takes us inside to darkness - into a black hole
Overwhelming intensity floods my soul
Shakes me to my very core and makes me cry
How can you love me more than I?
Overwhelming intensity fuses our souls
Makes us one loving spirit - we're in consensus
With the universe
