An English Teacher once told me that writing about things in your life was a good start to writing, so my poetry is based on that. I am getting on in age, but that only gives me more of lifes experiences to write about. I have a great love for the Lord and hope I can pass that message on through my poems. I don't expect to be a great poet. That is not why I write poems. Just because I don't have the gift to paint or draw or to play music, doesn't mean that I can't appreciate what others are good at. I appreciate this web site and am glad to be able to read and enjoy other's poems as well as to be able to display mine. May Jesus always be in my heart.
Can't stop the flow of it there
A big smile for you
I heard it loud and clear
The birds outside my window

Then comes the thunder
I feel sort of afraid
